Health and Other Requirements
All participants must be in good physical and mental health and posess average athletic ability. For the Epic One tour participants should posess basic kayaking skills (forward paddling of 10-20km/day, manouvering techiniques, basic rescue techniques and wave paddling confidence). For the Tailor Made tour participants must provide accurate information about their paddling experience and skills prior to departure. All participants must be able to swim at least 200 meters.
Damage and Behaviour
Should your group cause any damage to the supplier's property during the tour, you will be financially liable.
Safety and Insurance
Sea kayaking carries an element of risk and we strongly advise you take personal accident cover. If you choose not to take such cover we assume you are happy to take the risk of being uninsured.
If we do not deem the activity safe within our margins of weather conditions we will provide you with alternative outdoor activities such as paddling on inland lakes and hiking trails of other national parks when ever possible. In extreme conditions we might have to reschedule or cancel.
Alterations by us
Sometimes we have to make changes, usually because of circumstances out of our control. If this happens, we reserve the right at any time to substitute alternative accommodation or activities. If this means extra cost to you, we’ll let you know, giving you the choice to accept or get your money back.
Alterations by You
We will try to accommodate any changes, subject to availability. We have two charges: €30 to add someone once the balance has been paid and €100 should you wish to change date or type of tour.
The cancellation of a booking can be accepted only if it is received in writing/email from the group leader. If you cancel more than two months prior to departure you will recieve a full refund minus €100 in reservation and arrangement costs. If you cancel less that two months but more than two weeks before departure, you will recieve a refund of 50%. If you cancel less than two weeks before departure you will recieve a 10% refund. We can always provide an invoice for insurance purposes should they have a suitable policy. Or better still, if you can find someone to take your place, we can arrange a name transfer for a charge of €30 – nice one.
Should you encounter a problem whilst on a tour, please take it up with the guide at the time to allow them the opportunity to resolve any queries. If you are unable to resolve the matter, the group leader on behalf of the group should contact our Customer Relations Team within 7 days of your return. We will conduct a full investigation, simply bear with us for a week whilst we liaise with our suppliers, usually we are much quicker than this!
All information you provide us with is private and will stay that way. Please note that the group leader is responsible for ensuring that the group is aware of these Terms.
